A hand can disappear against similarly colored clothing. Choose a photo with clear lighting and visible arm boundaries. Leave room beside the shoulders for the lifted elbow.
Hold the final shape
The viewer needs time to read the curve. Inspect the final seconds rather than judging only a thumbnail. Extra fingers or disconnected limbs mean the result needs review.
